Tumut

Tumut is located on the banks of the Tumut River in the Riverina. The town is known as the 'Gateway to the Snowy' as it sits on the north-west foothills of the Snowy Mountains.

Tumut Community

Coo-ee Cottage is a service under the Tumut Family and Community Services. The service provides individual support to all Aboriginal family members, this includes transport, Yarn and referral information.

Brungle Tumut Local Aboriginal Land Council provides social housing for the Aboriginal Community. As well as, Cultural activities & celebrations, and transport.

Brungle is a village between Tumut and Gundagai. The Brungle camp, established in 1988, was made up of people from the Lachlan River, Yass, Narrandera, Cootamundra, and Warangesda mission.
